Professional Background

Dr. William Poulson, MD, RPVI is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Poulson grew up in Leawood Kansas. He attended Kansas State University where he received a B.S. in Biology and then received his M.D. from the University of Kansas. He subsequently went on to obtain his surgical training in Nebraska. He completed his General Surgery Residency, Post-Doctoral Research, and his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Poulson is board-certified General Surgeon and a board-eligible Vascular Surgeon.

Dr. Poulson’s clinical and research interests are in Cerebrovascular Disease, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Complex Aortic Surgery, and Minimally Invasive Technology.
