Professional Background

Dr. Schroeder is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Kansas Health System and Medical Director of the Pediatric Echocariography Laboratory. She also serves and the Executive Chairperson for the human research Institutional Review Board .

She received her medical degree of Eastern Virgina Medical School. Her pediatric residency was completed at St Christophers Hospital for Children. Her Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship was completed at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

She is the recipient of several grants focus on the molecular biology of the heart and vascular system. She also has received funding for projects centered on the ethical review of human research.

Research

Overview

Dr Schroeders research is focused upon preventative Cardiology and care of patients with dysautonomia. She is also interested in patient centered research where the voice and experience of prior patients and research subjects can contribute to the quality of research studies.
