Professional Background
Dr. Victoria A. Resendez, MD is an Assistant Professor on the Clinical Scholar Track in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2020. Following graduation, she completed an Internship Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (2020–2021), followed by a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Kansas (2021–2024). Dr. Resendez became board-certified by the American Board of Family Physicians in 2024 and holds a Kansas and Missouri medical license. She joined the University of Kansas Medical Center faculty in August 2024.
Dr. Resendez is committed to caring for vulnerable populations and aims to mentor underrepresented students and residents in medicine, empowering them to pursue careers in primary care and serve their communities, ultimately helping to reduce health disparities and improve equity in healthcare. She is passionate about maternal care and works with the complexities associated with underserved populations.
