Tracy Jones, DO, MBA

Professional Background

Following graduation from medical school Dr. Jones went on to train at the University of South Dakota-Sanford School of Medicine. Following her Pediatric Residency she took a position as the Chief Pediatric Resident for this program and served in this role for 1 year. From 2015-2019 she joined the faculty at USD-SSOM as a general pediatrician serving her community in the outpatient setting and the full term newborn nursery. She participated in resident education during her time at USD. In 2019, Dr. Jones and her family were able to move back to the Kansas City area to be closer to their family and it was at this time she joined the Pediatric Department at the University of Kansas Health System. Since 2019 she has continued to serve the surrounding community as a general pediatrician at the main hospital campus in addition to continuing her passion for newborn care in the full term nursery. Her position here at the health system as also allowed Dr. Jones to continue with medical education through the medical school as well as continued interaction with the pediatric residents who provide patient care at the health system.
