Hooding and Recognition Ceremonies

These events are a prized tradition for KU Medical Center graduates and generally precede commencement ceremonies in Lawrence.

2021 Hooding and Recognition Ceremonies

The Commencement ceremonies scheduled to take place on the KU-Lawrence campus on Sunday, May 16 were canceled due to severe weather. The Class of 2021 is invited to participate in a rescheduled Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 23, in Memorial Stadium. Tickets are not required. Visit the KU Commencement website for details.

We recognize not all graduates will be able to attend this rescheduled Commencement in person. For those who can't be in Lawrence, you can join the ceremony via livestream on the Commencement website.
