Professional Background

I am a proud Kansan from the Flint Hills and a graduate of the Wesley Family Medicine Residency and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. I have served as faculty at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita and the KU Family Medicine Residency at Wesley Medical Center for over a decade. Additionally, I am the Medical Director of the Standardized Patient Center at KU Wichita and a board member for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Bridges Healthcare (Palliative Care).
Driven by curiosity, I constantly ask "why." My motto, "think upstream," reflects my approach to medicine, which focuses on promoting optimal health. I believe we are made to live and thrive, and I enjoy partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals.
Outside of work, I cherish time with my family, gardening, and any opportunity to be outdoors. I also enjoy community activities, music in almost any form, reading a good book, and savoring a cup of coffee or tea
