I am actively involved in medical education at KUMC (M1 and M2 students and Pathology residents). As Associate Director of Medical and Dental Education for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Academic Affiliations, I help oversee the role of VA hospitals in providing training to undergraduate and graduate medical and dental trainees across the country. The VHA annually funds over 12,000 Graduate Medical and Dental Education positions to the tune of $900 million and trains over 50,000 individual trainees in these specialties.
