Dr. Steve Herrmann is a Research Assistant Professor within the Division of Physical Activity and Weight Management in the Department of Internal Medicine and Director of The University of Kansas Weight Management Programs.
Dr. Herrmann obtained a BS from Minnesota State University, Mankato and a MS from the University of Northern Iowa. He holds a Ph.D. in physical activity, nutrition and wellness from Arizona State University and completed his postdoctoral research fellowship in weight management at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Broadly, Dr. Herrmann has research interests related to understanding individual variability in response to exercise/diet interventions and behavioral factors that drive success in clinical health outcomes. The research will inform more personalized interventions to improve long-term sustainable health.
