Professional Background

I enjoy teaching both residents and medical students. My current position allows for occasional one to one patient based teaching with interns and residents during evening admissions. Although in my current role with private hospital service I do not work with medical students on a daily basis, in the summer of 2015 I precepted a second year medical student for 4 weeks as part of the clinical educational elective with the SOM. It is possible that I will be able to repeat this experience this coming summer as well.

I have also participated with the Nurse Practioner program working with the new NP to gain clinical exposure. I look forward to continue teaching in the very hands on manner.

I have participated in the SERM progam and precepted two first year medical students.

I will continue to pursue different avenues to do this such as the JayDoc clinic and precepting
