The RN to BSN provides registered nurses a flexible format to complete their bachelor's degrees and expand their career options. It's accessible 24 hours a day, and can be completed in as little as one calendar year of full-time study or up to five years of part-time study. You can enter the program at any semester: spring, summer or fall. In the KU School of Nursing's RN to BSN program, you will refresh your skills and learn new ones, with a curriculum that will broaden your abilities in many areas, including leadership and critical thinking.

Nursing Licensure

The RN to BSN program is a post-licensure program that leads to an academic credential. As of July 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Education implemented Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) that requires professional nursing programs to provide information on how their curriculum meets education requirements for professional licensing in each state. You may review KU School of Nursing's information on licensure by state.
