Every August, KU Medical Center's School of Medicine hosts a faculty retreat, featuring keynote speakers and breakout sessions.
2024 Retreat Information
The 2024 School of Medicine Annual Faculty Retreat was held on August 23rd, 1:00-3:00pm in Wahl Hall West Auditorium, Kansas City Campus.
Faculty Council welcomed Dr. Mark Anderson, M.D., Ph.D to give a keynote address on Improving the World Through Academic Medicine. Dr. Anderson is the Executive Vice President and Dean of Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago Medicine.

2023 Retreat Information
The 2023 Annual School of Medicine Faculty Retreat was held August 25th, 12:00pm-2:30pm in Ad Astra (5202 HEB, Kansas City Campus).
Faculty Council welcomed Dr. William Daniel, M.D., MBA to deliver a keynote address on Team Learning: A Catalyst for Organizational Change at the event. Dr. Daniel is the Vice President for Health System Affairs and Chief Quality Office at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Other event highlights included a State of the School presentation by Executive Dean Akinlolu Ojo, M.D., Ph.D., MBA and State of the University address by Chancellor Doug Girod, M.D.
