KU School of Medicine Department of Radiology

Welcome from the Chairman

Diagnostic Radiology is one of the most exciting and challenging disciplines in medicine. Here at the University of Kansas Medical Center, we foster an atmosphere of collaboration and intellectual curiosity that promotes professional and personal development. Teaching and mentoring of residents is one of our highest priorities.

Our department provides outstanding clinical training in all aspects of radiology, and is led by experienced and dedicated faculty. Residents are exposed to a vast array of imaging and image-guided procedures that incorporate the latest clinical and technical advances.

Additionally, we believe research is essential to promote innovation and discovery. Faculty mentor residents in research projects, teach the scientific method and critical review of literature, and promote the integration of research into clinical practice. Our dedicated research team provides strong support to explore translational and patient-centered research opportunities.

We strive to create an exceptional educational experience that establishes a foundation to assure our residents’ future success as radiologists.
