The KU-MPH Diversity and Leadership Scholarships

The KU MPH Program offers two scholarships for its current and continuing students to be used for the upcoming semesters: the Diversity Scholarship and the Leadership Scholarship. Students may apply for one or both of the scholarships but are eligible for only one MPH scholarship at a time.

Upon receipt of the award, students must demonstrate academic success by achieving grades of B or better in the first semester in order to receive the remaining scholarship funds in the second semester. Students may not receive the same scholarship two consecutive years in a row.  Late applications will not be accepted.

Call for applications are usually announced near the end of every spring semester. For more information, please contact Tanya Honderick (Kansas City) or Melissa Armstrong (Wichita).

John T. Stewart III Scholarship for MD/MPH students

MD/MPH students are eligible to apply for the John T. Stewart III Scholarship. Recipients of this award will receive $5000 over the course of the year to use towards their tuition for the MPH program, and an additional $5000 in their M3 and M4 years of medical school.

KU-MPH Travel Scholarship

The KU-MPH also offers funding for students who are accepted to present at a local or national conference. The KU-MPH Travel Scholarship covers conference registration fee, meals, mileage and/or flights and other travel related fees subject to terms and conditions set by the program. This travel scholarship fund was created in an effort to support KU-MPH students professional growth in the public health field. For more information, please contact Farah Marhusin.
