Office of Student Engagement Library Checkout Policy
The Office of Student Engagement has an expansive library available to all students. This resource includes literature focused on providing healthcare to underserved or special populations in medicine, educational and career for minorities in medicine and allied health fields, as well as instructional books and materials for each curriculum block in medical school. In order for OSE to continue to provide this resource, each student must observe the following policies:
- Each student can borrow up to 6 books at one time.
- Each student must complete OSE Library Checkout Form (can beaccessed via OSE staff) for each book they check out.
- Each book can be borrowed for a maximum of 6 months.
- Renewals can be requested by students and are approved at thediscretion of the OSE staff.
- Students with overdue books are prohibited from borrowing additionalbooks until the overdue materials are returned or renewed.
Additionally, students may request the Office of Student Engagement to purchase additional books or materials to add to the library inventory. Please send any requests to OSE@kumc.edu.
