Mission

To advance the education of medical students through managing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum as well as providing educational support and services to faculty, students and administration.

Curriculum

KU's ACE (Active, Competency-based, and Excellence-driven) curriculum is helping us to graduate physicians focused on improving the health and well-being of Kansas citizens and the global community. 

Through the application of ACE (Active, Competency-based, and Excellence-driven) curriculum, the University of Kansas School of Medicine is on the forefront of medical education, graduating physicians focused on improving the health and well-being of Kansan and the global community.

Physicians trained in KU's ACE curriculum:

• Quickly adapt to continuous changes in the practice of medicine brought about by scientific and clinical discoveries.
• Engage and understand the health care system to better serve those who seek help.
• Work in inter-disciplinary teams for better patient outcomes.
• Employ complex technology built upon the foundation of a strong physician-patient relationship to promote healing.

Influencing individuals, communities and populations, ACE-trained physicians learn the tools to seek a better understanding of health and disease and to advance the health of all.
