Summer Medical Academy
The Summer Medical Academy is our 6-week virtual camp that focuses on a specific health topic through hands-on activities, labs, and career exploration. Open to USD #500 students that will be in 10-12th grades in Fall 2021, the camp will be from June 14th through July 23rd on Mondays through Fridays. Students will receive a stipend at the end of the camp for participation. The Accelerate Cancer Education (ACE) Internship Program is through KU's Cancer Center. Through this virtual experience, participants will learn about cancer and cancer research. They will also present a research project at the end of the program. The internship is aimed towards students in USD #500, especially high school seniors who will graduate in May. The internship runs from June 14th through July 23rd and participants will receive a $1,000 stipend upon completion.
