Vernita D. Hairston, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Hairston joined the faculty of the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2013 as a clinical assistant professor. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore. After that, she went on to complete a residency in neurology at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
She then completed two fellowships: a neuromuscular fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and a neurorehabilitation fellowship at the University of Maryland.
She is board certified by the Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology in neurology and spinal cord medicine. She sees patients at the Landon Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
