Carrie Spresser, Ph.D, is a neuropsychologist, assistant clinical professor of neurology and assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She also is director of clinical training for the neuropsychology practicum program. She joined KU Medical Center in 2015 after serving as a rehabilitation program neuropsychologist at Covenant Medical Center - Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.
Dr. Spresser's educational background includes undergraduate training at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center, and following graduate school, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in neuropsychology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Spresser is board certified in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. She is licensed through the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
Her clinical responsibilities with The University of Kansas Health System involve working at the outpatient neuropsychology clinic as an embedded neuropsychologist in primary care and as part of the interdisciplinary team for the traumatic brain injury clinic.
