Kansas SNAP (Food Stamps)

The Food Assistance Program provides qualifying low-income households in Kansas with food benefits, access to a healthy diet and education on food preparation and nutrition. It provides crucial support to elderly households, to low-income working households, to other low income households that include the unemployed or disabled and to households transitioning from welfare to work. Food assistance customers can spend their benefits to buy eligible nutritious food and plants and seeds to grow food for their household to eat. For information on eligibility requirements, see the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) Economic & Employment Services Food Assistance website.

To apply, go to the Kansas DCF Self-Service Portal (best viewed in Internet Explorer), and click the "Apply for assistance" link and create a user name and password to apply for Food Assistance or call 1-888-369-4777.

Missouri SNAP (Food Stamps)

The Food Stamp Program is designed to promote the general welfare and safeguard the health and well-being of the Missouri’s population by raising the levels of nutrition among low-income households. The benefits may be used to purchase any food or food products prepared for human consumption except alcoholic beverages and tobacco, hot foods, or foods prepared for immediate consumption. Use the Missouri Pre-Eligibility Tool & Application to find out if you are eligible for the Missouri Food Stamp Program.

Visit the Missouri Department of Social Services Family Support Division website to find out options for applying.
