Running for mind/body balance, reading a good mystery novel on the beach, going to the dog park, eating my husband’s BBQ, spending time with my family and now getting involved in Girl Scouts.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk! I am a Jayhawk for life, as one can see by my education and training. Kansas City is my home and I love it! I have 2 young children that make me smile every day and I get to enjoy my husband’s competition barbeque regularly. I have a passion for residency education and women and children’s health. I think both are similar in a way, I get to watch both groups grow into amazing individuals. I get to help residents grow during their 3 years of training to develop into awesome Family Medicine physicians and I get to help a pregnant women throughout her pregnancy and give birth to a beautiful baby. I also have a passion for working with the urban underserved community of KCK and my goal is to empower our residents to serve this population with confidence. Lastly, being a resident advocate is very important to me as we support residents during training and something I below all my faculty colleagues believe.
