The Center for Child Health and Development (CCHD) supports families and providers at the local, state and national levels by:

  • Providing interdisciplinary diagnostic services for children with development concerns
  • Integrating developmental health needs with mental health issues
  • Providing behavioral support services for the child and their family
  • Providing outreach to rural areas through telehealth sites and on-site clinic across the state of Kansas
  • Training graduate, pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students
  • Researching the causes and treatment in developmental disorders including autism and Fragile X
  • Working with community partners to increase capacity in the diagnosis and treatment of autism
