Each year, KU School of Medicine-Wichita hosts a Research Forum for students, residents and faculty, as well as anyone interested in community health and medical research, to present and discuss research projects and facilitate research collaboration. This year’s forum will be hosted on campus.  

33rd Annual Research Forum

The 2025 Research Forum, in its 33rd year, will be from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 17, at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, 1010 N. Kansas, Wichita, KS 67214.  

The keynote speaker is Giulia Bonaminio, Ph.D., senior associate dean for medical education and research professor in Family Medicine & Community Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Dr. Bonaminio will talk about the medical school’s vision for research as well as the relevance and importance of students, residents, staff and faculty conducting research at the University of Kansas, especially in Wichita.

Submitting abstracts

All (students, residents, fellows, staff and faculty) are invited to submit abstracts for the Research Forum now, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. Late or incomplete abstracts will not be accepted (see instructions), and all students and residents must include their mentors as authors.
