The MPA employs over 80 people who provide care to our patients, assist with research, and provide administrative, clerical and accounting support.

Triage LPN - Internal Medicine (Center for Health Care)
Experience full-time Licensed Practical Nurse needed to support adult internal medicine/resident outpatient clinic. Prior experience handling medical nature phone calls including triage; review test results; patient education; medication refills, obtain insurance authorizations, EMR and attention to detail required. Associate's degree with 1-2 years' related experience. State of Kansas IV certification a plus.
Full-time Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative and accounting support for the general operations of the MPA administrative office. Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2-4 years’ related experience. Three years of advanced Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, Windows and Adobe required.
APRN – Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology
Experienced full-time APRN needed to provide medical care for pediatric hematology/oncology patients in a clinical setting, working under the direction of the supervising faculty physician(s). The Nurse Practitioner will manage a caseload of Pediatric patients with consultation, collaboration and medical supervision utilizing the acquired knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology and physiology. Masters of Science in nursing, current licensure in state of Kanas as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and current BLS certification required. 2-4 years of experience preferred.
Nurse Navigator – RN – Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology
Full-time Nurse Navigator needed to manage KU Pediatric Hematology Oncology patients’ care transition from various service lines within the department to ensure accurate and timely care coordination. The inpatient responsibilities of the Nurse Navigator are expected to aid the team in setting up outpatient follow with the pediatric hematology oncology team, primary care provider or other service lines necessary to patient care. Outpatient care involves ensuring appropriate follow-up and disposition for each hematology oncology patient and that care plans are frequently being updated and addressed. Nursing associate's degree and current RN State of Kansas licensure required. 2-4 years of pediatric experience preferred.
Patient Navigator (Psychiatry)
Full-time Patient Navigator needed to assist patients and caregivers to meet financial obligations, facilitate scheduling new patient intakes, and pre-authorizations. Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology and prior electronic medical records experience required. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Some college preferred with minimum of one year in medical registration, business office, financial counseling and/or insurance related field. Mental health terminology knowledge preferred.
Medical Assistant (Midtown)
Needing experienced full-time Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support busy outpatient adult internal medicine clinics. Current national agency certification in Medical Assisting is a mandatory requirement. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment necessary. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health care clinic setting required. Prior EMR and Microsoft Office required.
Medical Assistant/Administrative Assistant (Midtown - Functional Medicine)
Full-time Medical Assistant/Administrative Assistant needed to support Midtown Clinic – Functional Medicine. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by physician. Administrative duties may include assisting IM department and Public Affairs with website content and outreach for events and patient scheduling. Current national agency certification in Medical Assisting is a mandatory requirement. Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment necessary. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health care clinic setting required.

Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with 1-3 years' related experience. Current RN State of Kansas licensure required and State of Kansas IV certification a plus.
Clinical Data Coordinator (Center for Health Care)
The Quality Data Coordinator will be responsible for detailed medical record review and abstraction of clinical data required for quality measures reporting and/or departmental registries in addition to assisting in patient outreach to close care gaps. The Quality Data Coordinator will support the patient safety and quality improvement efforts through accurate reporting of compliance to defined metrics and collaborates with manager and departmental team members to facilitate improved patient outcomes. High school diploma or equivalent with one year clinical environment and knowledge of HEDIS quality measures and one year experience with EMR systems required.
Scheduler/Financial Navigator (CHC Gastroenterology)
Experienced full-time Scheduler/Financial Navigator needed to support gastroenterology outpatient clinic. Prior outpatient appointment scheduling, obtaining authorizations, multi-line phone, collections and explain/obtain financial responsibility for outpatient procedures experience required. High school graduate or GED with 1-2 years' clinic reception experience required.
