The MPA employs over 80 people who provide care to our patients, assist with research, and provide administrative, clerical and accounting support.

Every job in our organization is important and each employee plays a key role in achieving the mission of the MPA. Registered Nurse (CHC Gastroenterology)
Experienced full-time RN needed immediately to support Gastroenterology Liver outpatient clinic. BSN preferred with 2-4 years of clinic experience. Current State of Kansas licensure required. Prior EMR and Microsoft Office experience required.

Medical Assistant (Midtown)
Needing experienced full-time Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support busy outpatient adult internal medicine clinics. Current national agency certification in Medical Assisting is a mandatory requirement. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment necessary. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health care clinic setting required. Prior EMR and Microsoft Office required.

Medical Assistant (CHC Gastroenterology)
Needing an experienced full-time Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support busy Gastroenterology outpatient clinic. Current national agency certification in Medical Assisting is a mandatory requirement. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment necessary. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health care clinic setting required. Prior EMR and Microsoft Office required.

Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) - IM Midtown
Needing full-time PA or APRN to work in conjunction with physicians to provide medical care for patients with HIV related diseases and treatments in adult internal medicine clinic. Applicants must have a current Kansas license, board certification and current DEA; and 2-4 years’ experience preferred. New graduates will be considered.

Receptionist – IM/GI CHC
Needing a full-time receptionist who will be the first point of contact for patient arriving at the Center of Health Care Clinic and for patients calling in. The receptionist will be responsible for all check-in and check-out processes of patients. This position will schedule all in-house appointments, tests, and procedures for patients in office and over the phone. High school graduate or GED required; one to two years of clinic receptionist experience preferred.

Coding/Insurance Specialist (Part time)
Part-time Coding/Insurance specialist for long-term care/skilled nursing facilities to verify and audit charges in billing system. Will also check for correctness and completeness prior to encounters being processed for billing, insurance filing and denial management. Monitors daily flow of encounters to ensure accuracy and timeliness of output. May perform coding reviews with physicians. Education: Coding Certification required. Experience: 2- 4 years’ experience coding and billing for long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. Other requirements: Basic Medical Terminology. Familiarity with coding compliance guidelines. Knowledge of appropriate use of POS and Modifiers. Knowledge of billing for part A and part B Medicare on CMS 1500 and UB04 claims. Knowledge of appropriate CPT codes for billing LTC and SNF. Distinguish between nursing and assisted living facilities. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicaid insurance plans.

Medical Assistant IM (CHC) (1 position available)
Needing experienced full-time Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support busy outpatient adult internal medicine clinics. Current national agency certification in Medical Assisting is a mandatory requirement. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment necessary. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health care clinic setting required. Prior EMR and Microsoft Office required.

Health Informatics Manager
Immediate need for full-time HIM to provide oversight for all internal functions related to data collection, manipulation, storage, archiving and retrieval from EMR. Responsible for project supervision and recommendations during EMR implementation and creating a formal training plan for physicians, staff and medical students. Will maintain and foster open lines of communication with internal and external customers. HIM must hold a bachelor’s degree with major concentration in information systems, business or technical field; master’s degree a plus.
