The MPA employs over 80 people who provide care to our patients, assist with research, and provide administrative, clerical and accounting support.

Counselor (After School Program) (1 position available)
The BREATHE Program Counselor position is for the KU After School Program BREATHE, an evidence-based therapeutic program for children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The Counselor will provide a fun and engaging experience for children and implement behavioral treatment protocols in accordance with the BREATHE manual. Counselors will implement an extensive positive and negative behavior modification treatment program including feedback and associated consequences, daily and weekly rewards, social praise and attention, appropriate commands, and removal from positive reinforcement. High school graduate or equivalent with one year of college coursework in a social science or education field required.

Medical Assistant IM (CHC) (2 positions available)
Needing experienced full-time Certified or Registered Medical Assistants to support busy outpatient adult internal medicine clinics. Current national agency certification in Medical Assisting is a mandatory requirement. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment necessary. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health care clinic setting required. Prior EMR and Microsoft Office required.

Midlevel – PA or APRN – Family & Community Medicine
Full time APRN or PA to work under the direction of the supervising faculty physician to provide medical care for family medicine, long term care and hospice patients. Will assist with the education and training of residents and medical students. Performs physical exams with detailed histories. Provides urgent and emergency medical care when necessary. Evaluates patients and prescribes medication and treatment established by written protocols. Provides telemedicine clinical services. Education: Licensed ARNP or PA; Experience: Two to four years of related experience.

Medical Assistant – School-based Health Care (Haysville & Valley Center)
Needing experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support the School-Based Health Care clinic in Haysville as well as the clinic in Valley Center. This position will split their time between the two locations. The medical assistant is responsible for rooming patients after arrival for their scheduled appointments. Will assist the clinical staff, physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations, and assist with documentation in patient charts. Current national agency certification in Medical Assisting is a mandatory requirement. Experience with Electronic Medical Records is preferred. Microsoft Office experience a plus. Travel between sites is required.

Medical Case Manager Assistant / Lost to Care Coordinator (Midtown Ryan White)
Full-time Case Manager Assistant needed to support HIV program team. Identify, seek out and re-engage HIV positive patients who are lost to care. Assist case managers to meet patient needs. Crucial data entry in case management database and EMR systems. Works in conjunction with entire HIV clinical staff funded by Ryan White grants. Must adhere to all Ryan White specific regulations. Associate's degree with minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in health or human service required. Microsoft Office, basic database management, effective interpersonal relationship/cultural communication skills and strong social service orientation required. Background in crisis intervention and substance abuse intervention required. Prior knowledge of HIV/AIDS required.

Health Informatics Manager
Immediate need for full-time HIM to provide oversight for all internal functions related to data collection, manipulation, storage, archiving and retrieval from EMR. Responsible for project supervision and recommendations during EMR implementation and creating a formal training plan for physicians, staff and medical students. Will maintain and foster open lines of communication with internal and external customers. HIM must hold a bachelor’s degree with major concentration in information systems, business or technical field; master’s degree a plus.

Medical Assistant/Receptionist (Psychiatry)
Immediate need for full-time Medical Assistant/Receptionist for outpatient Psychiatry clinic. Knowledge of insurance, outpatient scheduling, medical terminology and medical assistant job responsibilities. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience mental health and medication management preferred. Medical Assisting certificate required. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environment necessary.
