Pharmacy Directors
Vy Lam, P4 Director
Undergraduate Education: Wichita State University
Favorite Part of JayDoc: I enjoy working with future medical providers and licensed health professionals to help deliver quality care to underserved communities. JayDoc provides a safe environment for students to learn and gain clinical experience by applying knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real-life patient care, and helps increase students' awareness to different health care barriers in the communities. It's also a great opportunity to give back to the communities and build connections while also getting a break from the craziness of studying.
Thomas Barnaby, Director of Pharmacist Volunteers
Undergraduate Education: Graduate from Friends University with a Bachelor of Science in health science
Favorite part of JayDoc: My favorite part of JayDoc is serving members of the Wichita community, while also being able to apply what we learn in the classroom to the clinic setting. I have also found working with the other medical volunteers to be invaluable to my own interprofessional development. Working with Jaydoc has truly shown how effective a team of health care professionals can be when we all work together!
Maria McGonigal, Director of Student Volunteers
Undergraduate Education: Cowley County Community College
Favorite part of JayDoc: My favorite part of JayDoc is having the unique opportunity to actively learn alongside the med students.
Hannah Le, P4 Director of Diabetes Class
Undergraduate Education: Pre-Pharmacy and Associate of Science at Butler Community College
Favorite part of JayDoc: My favorite part about JayDoc is getting the early exposure to working interprofessionally centered on patient care. I really enjoy understanding the collaborative practice and agreements at JayDoc because it helps sharpen my clinical skills and make use of what I have learned during my time at KUSOP. It’s amazing getting the opportunity to meet pharmacists and doctors around Wichita that I can learn so much from as a student. Networking and collaborating with different professions are one thing but creating the long-lasting relationships is the other best part about JayDoc.
Aubrey Knapton, P3 Director of Diabetes Class
Undergraduate Education: Associate of Science, pre-pharmacy at Butler Community College
Favorite part of JayDoc: Being about to collaborate with other pharmacy and medical students has provided me with an invaluable experience in patient care, allowing me to apply my knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of a team making a genuine difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Makayla Webb, P2 Director of Diabetes Class
