The KU Wichita Pediatric Hospital Medicine division is comprised of pediatric hospitalists committed to providing high-quality and cost-effective health care with a compassionate and family-centered approach in the hospital setting at Wesley Children's Hospital. 

Hospitalists work as part of an interdisciplinary team with nursing, pediatric pharmacists, care coordinators, child life specialists, allied health therapists, and support staff to ensure each patient's medical and psychological needs are met. Pediatric subspecialists work closely with the hospitalist team in order to co-manage patients with varying complexities of medical and surgical disease processes. 

As full-time faculty members at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita, education of medical students, residents, and other allied health students is another priority. Hospitalists are also involved in local and national quality improvement and leadership initiatives.
