The KU Wichita Pediatric Hematology and Oncology subspecialty program provides both inpatient and outpatient services focused on evidence-based practices with the goal of allowing children to stay near home during treatment. Our physicians are committed to the improvement of the health care of children and their community.
Pediatric Hematology
The pediatric hematology team provides multidisciplinary, comprehensive care that focuses all aspects of the hematologic system. They specialize in disorders of the white blood cell, red blood cell and platelets, benign hematology, hemoglobinopathies, and hemophilia.
Pediatric Oncology
The pediatric oncology team cares for all children with cancer. They provide evidence-based care strictly focused on the goal of eliminating cancer. They administer outpatient chemotherapy in a specialized infusion center with a comprehensive team of chemotherapy-trained nurses, pharmacists, child life specialists, social workers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nutritionists.
Consultations are available anytime and new patients are always accepted.
