The psychiatry research team designs, conducts and collaborates on research studies for a variety of populations including children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. We have faculty who are continuously involved in projects addressing topics such as suicidality in pediatric patients, psychosocial interventions for children and adolescents, valid neuropsychological evaluation of memory impairment, and behavioral and pharmacological interventions for depression and dementia. Faculty also collaborate with the Clinical & Translational Science Unit to evaluate the effectiveness of new medications to treat mood disturbances, aggression and cognitive decline.
