Curriculum
Throughout the two-year fellowship, fellows will explore a wide variety of training experiences with a focus on collaborative care and serving rural and underserved populations. Training sites include our in-house Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Outpatient Clinic, a community mental health clinic that serves both urban and rural populations, as well as one of the region’s largest and most intensive psychiatric inpatient care facilities. In addition, fellows will have the opportunity to participate in telehealth consultations and collaborative care with pediatricians and other physicians across the state, gaining skills needed to thrive in an ever-developing health care environment.
Our curriculum spans two years. The first year clinical and didactic experiences address essential skills, with a focus on inpatient and acute services. The second year focuses on outpatient and elective experiences, allowing the fellow to gain intensive experiences in a wide variety of specific clinical, administrative and/or research areas.
