Residency Application Information
The Orthopaedic Residency Program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita will accept applications only via the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS) from the Association of American Medical College (AAMC).
*Residency application and materials deadline is Oct. 15.
Application Criteria:
- Three reference letters from U.S. physicians, preferably from orthopaedic faculty. We prefer and encourage using the AOA Standardized Letter of Recommendation Form.
- Medical school transcripts
- Official dean's letter
- Copy of USMLE Scores Part 1 and Part 2 (if taken)
- CV
Additional criteria for those from medical schools outside of the United States
- Must have practiced in a clinical practice, internship or residency after 2016
- Applicants must have U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status or a valid work visa (i.e. J-1).
- Copy of valid ECFMG certificate
Interview Process:
For the 2024-2025 year, we plan to host in-person interviews. We only interview for two days and they are normally scheduled for the second or third Friday and Saturday of January.
We will host a social the evening before your interview with current residents.
