OB-GYN Student Interest Group
The KUSM-W OB-GYN Interest Group serves to promote medical student awareness of the opportunities available in obstetrics & gynecology. Students learn about life as a resident in OB-GYN as well as a practicing physician. Listed below are some activities the interest group is organizing as well as opportunities for students within the group. ACOG
Students are encouraged to become a member with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Students can apply for the Gibbon's Award, a monetary stipend for attending the Annual Clinical Meeting. Professional Development
The group will host panels of residents and or attending physicians to discuss life in the field of obstetrics in gynecology as well as to discuss issues in women's health care. The students will also be guided on planning their fourth-year medical student rotations, and be given assistance in applying and interviewing for residency.
