About the Artist

Kevin Lundy, an oil painter based in Wilson, Kansas, is known for the near-photographic imagery in his paintings. One technique that helps him achieve this look is by using smooth marine plywood instead of canvas as the base for his work. Lundy says he prefers this surface because it enhances the fluency of his brushwork. He started painting as a child under the tutelage of his artist father, continued art classes in high school and refined his technique during four years of college.

In the words of Lundy, "I paint because I need to, but a painting unseen makes me sad." Make sure you stop by to see these exceptional works of art!

The public entrance is the patient entrance on the east side of the building (1001 N. Minneapolis). Parking is available in the visitor parking lot or on Minneapolis Street.

The William J. Reals Gallery of Art is free and open to the public. Regular business hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
