With support from the Kansas Health Foundation, the new We Doc This campaign demonstrates there isn't much KU School of Medicine-Wichita can't do for its students, physicians, our community and the state of Kansas.

Helping physicians avoid burnout. We Doc This.

Preparing medical students to practice in rural Kansas. We Doc This.

Changing the conversation about mental health to be comfortable. We Doc This.

Get it? There isn’t much KU School of Medicine-Wichita can’t do — for its students, physicians and citizens of Wichita and Kansas. And we want everyone to know.

With the generous support of the Kansas Health Foundation, KU School of Medicine-Wichita is embarking on an awareness campaign. Incorporating faculty members, students and an alumnus now practicing in Great Bend, Kansas, people across the state will see their faces, hear their stories and learn why they selected our school, how they are impacting the lives of Kansans and what that means to them on a personal level.

Our students tout the hands-on clinical opportunities they receive early in their medical education because KU School of Medicine-Wichita is a community-based campus partnering with three hospitals, more than 1,000 volunteer faculty and numerous clinics and doctors’ offices across the state. That’s one of the reasons we have a diverse, competent and willing class of new students each year.

Research also plays a major role in the learning process for our students and residents, when on their own or partnering with faculty. They develop innovative outcomes to meet patients’ needs while lowering costs. The economic impact of having a four-year institution in Wichita for the past 50 years equals millions of dollars. The economic impact can be felt statewide as our graduates move to rural communities. We Doc This on so many levels.

Where and when will you see our messages and the champions who represent us?

We are running an intense campaign across the state and across platforms including billboards, public radio, social media and digital advertising that will be seen on computers and smart TVs. Some messaging will continue after the campaign is over on advertising platforms the school regularly uses like KMUW Wichita 89.1, print ads, banners on campus and our campaign website, wedocthis.com.
