New art exhibit at KU School of Medicine-Wichita will spotlight work of Wichita East High School students
The new exhibit "Looking Inward: East High Collection" opens April 4 during a First Friday reception and will be on display at the medical school through May.

A variety of artwork from several local artists will be on display as part of a new exhibit at KU School of Medicine-Wichita, and the artists have at least one thing in common: They're all Wichita East High School students.
The new exhibit "Looking Inward: East High Collection" will open Friday, April 4, during a First Friday reception in the William J. Reals Gallery of Art at KU School of Medicine-Wichita. This exhibit, which is a partnership with Wichita East High School, is an eclectic show that will feature pieces using a multitude of art media. The students, along with several of their art teachers, are curating the exhibit to showcase their best and brightest young artists.
The exhibit will be installed in both the East Gallery and West Gallery at the medical school. An opening reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the West Atrium. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
The display will run through May. The William J. Reals Gallery of Art is free and open to the public. Regular business hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
