Prosepctive medical students are invited to attend an upcoming open house to learn more about KU School of Medicine-Wichita and the application process, and to hear from current medical students.

Curious about pursuing a life in medicine? Learn more about the KU School of Medicine M.D. program during an open house from 2-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the Roberts Amphitheater at KU School of Medicine-Wichita, 1010 N. Kansas in Wichita.

The event provides prospective students with information about preparation for medical school and the application process, and provides insight during a Q&A panel, plus you have the opportunity to tour the campus. The event generally lasts 2 to 2.5 hours and is free, but advance registration is required.

Open House Schedule

  • 2 p.m. - Q&A with Brian Steele, Ed.D., associate dean, KUMC Admissions
  • 2:50 p.m. - ACE Curriculum Overview with Tessa Rohrberg, M.D., assistant professor, KU School of Medicine-Wichita Department of Family & Community Medicine
  • 3:10 p.m. - Medical Student Panel: Kale Mills (M3), Michala Sliefert (M3), Taylor Barlett (M1) and Alex Stegman (M1)
  • 3:40 p.m. - Campus tour with Kale Mills (M3), Michala Sliefert (M3), Taylor Barlett (M1) and Alex Stegman (M1)
