We hope you have visited the newly redesigned website at kumc.edu, which includes the School of Medicine campuses in Kansas City, Wichita and Salina.

The primary goal for the redesign was to make the site easier to navigate for external audiences, like prospective students. The bright and bold look includes a variety of new features and enhancements to boost user experience. The new website will also be more user friendly for other groups, such as researchers, prospective employees, alumni and community partners.

A KUMC cross-departmental team from information technology and communications worked with point people in each department or unit to migrate content from the current website into the new design. Hundreds of students, faculty and staff contributed input regarding the design, information architecture, content, images and more.

One of the new features is an improved search functionality that prioritizes more relevant results. Access the search icon (a magnifying glass) at the top of any page. Directory results appear on the same page as other search results.
