A Sweet A'Fair event returns, benefits Wichita-area HIV/AIDS patients
After a two-year hiatus, the annual event will resume in support of the Sweet Emergency Fund, a program that pays HIV medical care costs above and beyond those covered by insurance.
A Sweet A’Fair will return this year with a whole new look! “A Sweet A’Fair Homecoming: The Return of a Benefit for Wichita-area HIV/AIDS Patients” will feature popular Wichita performer Elizabeth Rains as emcee and Homecoming Queen.
This homecoming celebration will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the home of Donna Sweet, M.D., in Wichita.
Established in 1994, A Sweet A’Fair has become a highly anticipated annual event raising funds for the Sweet Emergency Fund, a program that pays HIV medical care costs above and beyond those covered by insurance.
For a $20 donation, attendees will enjoy food and beverages, DJ music and other entertainment, and auctions for various items.
This event will also be the introduction of “Rudy Ribbon,” the new Sweet Emergency Fund mascot created by well-known local artist Wade Hampton. You’ll see Rudy on future Sweet Emergency Fund projects and communications, as well as on social media!
