Dr. Nangia Laboratory

Ajay Nangia, M.B.B.S., leads a research team at KU Medical Center dedicated to studying the causes of and latest treatments for male infertility as well as advances in male contraception.

Ajay Nangia, MBBSDr. Nangia is actively involved with research in male contraception, testicular cancer awareness as well as the past study of vitamin D in sperm and testicular physiology. He has been very involved in access-to-care research for male infertility as well as research with the CDC on contraception, male reproduction advocacy and testosterone use in the reproductive years. He has published and researched in laboratory testing for male reproduction. 

He is co-principal investigator on the cutting-edge research and development of a reversible male contraceptive through the Male Contraceptive Trials Network with UCLA and University of Washington. He is also involved with ongoing research in the development of a nonhormonal reversible male contraception, H2-gamendazole, that is very promising and may go into clinical trials in the next few years. This research has been under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Tash from the KU Medical Center Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology.
