Perioperative nivolumab versus observation in patients with renal cell carcinoma undergoing nephrectomy (PROSPER ECOG-ACRIN EA8143): an open-label, randomised, phase 3 study
BACKGROUND: The standard of care for patients with intermediate-to-high risk renal cell carcinoma is partial or radical nephrectomy followed by surveillance. We aimed to investigate use of nivolumab before nephrectomy followed by adjuvant nivolumab in patients with high-risk renal cell carcinoma to determine recurrence-free survival compared with surgery only.

Clinical safety and efficacy of microwave ablation for small renal masses
CONCLUSIONS: As the medical field continues to evolve towards less invasive interventions, MWA offers a valuable tool in the management of renal masses. With low major complication and recurrence rates, our findings support the utility of CT-guided MWA as a tool for treatment of SRMs.

Aberrant expression of multiple glycolytic enzyme genes is significantly associated with disease progression and survival outcomes in prostate cancers
Prostate cancer is the leading cause of cancer death after lung cancer in men. Recent studies showed that aberrant metabolic pathways are involved in prostate cancer development and progression. Patient Preferences Regarding Chaperone Use for Sensitive Examinations
CONCLUSIONS: Preference regarding the use of a chaperone is primarily influenced by gender of both the patient and the provider. For sensitive examinations commonly performed in the field of urology, most individuals would not prefer a chaperone be present.

Preference Signaling Pilot in the Urology Match: Outcomes and Perceptions
CONCLUSION: Preference signaling was demonstrated to be feasible and successful in providing a novel applicant-directed, formal, equitable, and credible structured process for applicants to express genuine interest in programs. Additionally, programs were able to incorporate PS into their interview selection and recruitment process.

Access to urologists for participation in research: An analysis of NCI's Community Oncology Research Program landscape survey
CONCLUSIONS: Two-thirds of community cancer research groups have access to urology. Oncology ownership status was not associated with access to urologists for research. Research groups may need support to increase their capacity to engage non-oncology cancer care providers in research.
