Applicants

Our program selects TWO trainees each year through the National Resident Matching Program. Applicants must successfully complete an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and pass all Board examinations from the American Board of Radiologists.

Application Process

Our program will begin accepting applications for Interventional Radiology - Independent candidates on December 1, through ERAS (December cycle). Please do not fax additional application documents, unless requested by the Program.

The University of Kansas Medical Center is an equal opportunity/ affirmative action employer. Applications are sought from all qualified people regardless of race, religion, color, sex, disability, veteran status, national origin, age, or ancestry.

A complete ERAS application includes:

  • current CV (include hobbies and interests)
  • personal statement
  • photograph
  • copy of all USMLE scores available (must have Step 3)
  • at least two letters of recommendation

Please also email a medical school diploma to vif@kumc.edu, since ERAS does not have a place to upload it.

The deadline for application is March 1. However, we encourage you to submit your application sooner for earlier consideration.

Fellowship Selection Committee members review all completed applications to select those applicants for interview. All applicants will be invited by ADD via the ERAS email system. It is our policy that all applicants will receive a determination email (invited for an interview or not) from our Program by March 5.

Virtual interviews will be conducted based on the availability of the Program faculty.
