Roopa Sethi named chair of national committee focused on advancing addition psychiatry education
As education committee chair for the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, Sethi will promote the organization’s mission through initiatives that improve addiction education for medical students, residents and fellows nationwide.
Roopa Sethi, MBBS, M.D., associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is the new chair of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry’s education committee.
Founded in 1985, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry is a national professional society that strengthens addiction psychiatry specialty training and fosters careers in the burgeoning field.
Sethi began her tenure as education committee chair on January 1. In her role, Sethi will increase communications with affiliate organizations and oversee initiatives that will improve addiction education for medical students, residents and fellows nationwide.
