Assistant Professor Chrissy R.D. Glenn named president-elect of Kansas Psychiatric Society
Glenn, associate program director of the psychiatry residency program at KU School of Medicine, will lead the organization for the next two years
The Kansas Psychiatric Society has named Chrissy R.D. Glenn, D.O., president-elect of the organization.
Glenn is an associate program director, psychiatry residency program and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She also serves as the medical director at The University of Kansas Health System Strawberry Hill Campus.
Glenn’s two-year term starts May 2024 and will conclude May 2026. The Kansas Psychiatric Society is comprised of more than 200 psychiatrists from across the state. Members of the organization are medical specialists who are qualified, or in the process of becoming qualified, as psychiatrists.
She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Central Methodist University and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Glenn completed her residency in psychiatry at KU Medical Center, where she served as chief resident and was recognized with the Excellence in Scholarship award, which honors psychiatry residents who demonstrate excellent medical knowledge based on Resident-in-Training Examination scores.
Prior to joining the faculty at KU Medical Center in 2019, Glenn was a practicing psychiatrist in Missouri. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
