Faculty and residents earn honors at KU School of Medicine gala
A Grand Affair celebrates outstanding mentoring and teaching at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
During its annual gala, held Jan. 17, KU School of Medicine recognized exceptional faculty and mentors. Now in its 28th year, A Grand Affair brings together medical students, faculty, alumni, community and friends from the Kansas City, Salina and Wichita campuses to celebrate achievements in medical education.
At this year’s event, several faculty and residents in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences received recognition for their outstanding efforts as educators and mentors.
- Alexander Burnett, M.D., clinical assistant professor, received the Outstanding Attending in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences award.
- Logan Clay, M.D., a PGY-3 resident, received the Outstanding Resident in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences award.
- Albert Poje, Ph.D., professor, received the award for Outstanding Lecturer.
