Public Health Certificate Programs

KUMC’s online public health graduate certificate programs provide a background in the key aspects of public health, including epidemiology, policy, administration, environmental health, and data management. These programs prepare students to advance their careers in a variety of public health related fields, including public health administration, nutrition, and data management. Each certificate option requires the completion of 12 credit hours. All courses are available fully online. Certificate credit hours may be applied to the Master of Public Health degree.

Admission Requirements

  • Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0+ is required for regular admission status. An applicant with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 may be admitted by petition, provided they meet academic standards without excessive deficiencies in prerequisites.
  • C average (or higher) in Calculus for Epidemiology certificate.

Application Requirements

  • A completed online application form including a personal statement and resume.
  • Official transcripts with bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
