Lauren Pulino, MSHI, RHIA, has diverse experience in health care software applications, including system design and build, testing, training, and curriculum development. Prior to joining the Department of Health Information Management faculty in July 2013, she worked at The University of Kansas Hospital. There she trained various groups of end users in multiple specialties on the use of the hospital's electronic health record system. Pulino was also responsible for maintaining the training environment and building patient cases across all applications.
In addition to her teaching role, Pulino is program director for the academic and simulation electronic health records for the university. Her responsibilities include developing and managing program aspects and logistics in addition to assisting in the build and configuration of simulated patient documentation.
Academic Background
Pulino earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Temple University, Philadelphia, in 2006. She completed a master's degree in health informatics with a concentration in health policy and management from the University of Kansas in 2016.
