Application Information
Our program matches two new residents each year for the six-year integrated program.
We actively seek out hard-working, conscientious and well-rounded applicants to join our program. Interested students should apply through the Plastic Surgery Common Application (PSCA).
The interview process typically includes an initial dinner with an introduction by the program director, which is followed by an opportunity to spend time with the current residents. The interview day begins with a breakfast, followed by a series of scheduled interviews, lunch, hospital tour and bus tour around Kansas City. We also invite interviewees to join faculty and residents for an optional informal evening. As a result of the global pandemic, and institutional safety guidelines, our interviews will be held virtually for the 2023 season.
Interview dates:
- January 13, 2023
- February 3, 2023
The University of Kansas Department of Plastic Surgery Residency Program follows the ACAPS standards for residency interview notification and post-interview communication policy. More information regarding dates and policies can be found on the American Council of Academic Plastic Surgeons website.
