The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at University of Kansas Medical Center provides an organized Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation educational program that integrates didactic activities with opportunities for diagnosis and management of patients under appropriate levels of supervision. The residents in this program experience a diverse patient population and exposure to multiple areas of Rehabilitation Medicine including interventional spine, musculoskeletal medicine, sports medicine, neurological disorders and other general PM&R practices. These program experiences allow residents numerous opportunities for specialized training in all areas in the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Our graduates are fully prepared and well-rounded at the time they complete the program. Our graduated residents can seamlessly move into private practice or pursue sub-specialities through fellowships.
