I was born and raised in Iran. I earned my bachelor's degree in pure chemistry and completed my master's degree in organic chemistry at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. My thesis was focused on synthesis and characterization of a new class of 2-substituted 4-methyl-7,8-dihydro-5H-pyrimido[4,5-d] thiazolo [3,2-a] pyrimidines and evaluating their antibacterial properties. I joined IGPBS in 2020 and I am currently a graduate student in Dr. Jaeschke’s lab.
Graduate Research
My research focuses on evaluating the pathways and mechanisms involved in Acute kidney and liver injury and recovery after Acetaminophen overdose and exploring cross communication between these two organs. The aim of my research is to uncover novel pathways which can be exploited to develop new strategies for treating liver and kidney injuries following acetaminophen overdose.
