Caroline Hogerty

Professional Background

I was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico, and moved to the United States in 2011. I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 2020. During my undergraduate training, I worked for two years in a Molecular and Cellular Biology laboratory, followed by two additional years in a Pathogenic Microbiology and Bacterial Genetics laboratory. In 2024, I joined the IGPBS program at KUMC and became a member of Dr. Wei Zhong’s laboratory in March 2025.
