Family Resources

The CCHD has developed the following publications for families who have used our services and for the general public. We understand that navigating the service system can be quite overwhelming and difficult in learning what is important in order to take care of the needs of your child.

Autism Spectrum Disorders: Family Resource Booklet
For those families who have a child with an autism spectrum disorder the Autism Resource Booklet will help identify needed services and resources in your community and the state of Kansas.

Changes from DSM-IV-TR to DSM-5: Autism Spectrum Disorder

Navigating the Service System: Family Resource Booklet
This booklet helps families who have a child with developmental delays or healthcare needs navigate the service services system. It is general information regarding the services and supports that are available to families.

Building a Life: A transition guide for Kansans
As your child ages out of the public school system or is ready to transition to adult life in the community the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the CCHD developed a website to help families navigate the world of services and supports. This website is a tool for Kansans to help them learn about and find needed resources and services in their communities.
