Welcome to Kansas LEND. We're dedicated to improving the lives of children with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities by training the leaders who support them. Our program offers interdisciplinary training for 18 health and education specialties, provides clinical services and professional development opportunities, and serves families across Kansas.
The Kansas LEND program works to improve health and increase access to care for infants, children, and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities. We partner with state agencies and community organizations to provide essential training and professional development across Kansas. Our program focuses on developing essential skills in clinical practice, advocacy, and research. In partnership with The University of Kansas Health System, we provide valuable clinical training and services. Our alumni go on to work in a variety of clinical, academic, and community settings nationwide.
Kansas LEND is located at the University of Kansas Medical Center within the Department of Pediatrics. We are one of 60 nationally funded programs by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau of Health Resources Services Administration. This network allows us to share resources and best practices to support evidence-based care for individuals with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities.
